3rd Shot Pickleball

New to Pickleball?

Welcome! Here's everything you need to get started.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun, fast-paced paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It's played on a smaller court with a lightweight perforated ball and solid paddles. The rules are simple, the learning curve is gentle, and it's an incredible workout. It's also the fastest-growing sport in America — and for good reason.

What you need (and what you don't).

Shoes

Clean, non-marking court shoes are required. Running shoes work in a pinch, but court shoes provide better lateral support.

Paddle

We provide rental paddles at no charge. When you're ready to buy, our Pro Shop has a demo program so you can try before you buy.

Clothing

Comfortable athletic clothing. Moisture-wicking fabrics are recommended.

Water

Stay hydrated! Bring a water bottle — we have refill stations available.
